What Smart Market does

Smart Market installs and runs a fully managed, cashless smart fridge in Melbourne workplaces and other sites at no cost to the host. We supply the machine, install it, stock it, clean it and service it, and earn from what people buy rather than charging the site.

Unlike a traditional coil vending machine, it uses tap-and-go entry, AI product recognition and weight sensors to track what leaves the shelf. There is no coin slot, no drop mechanism and nothing to jam.

How it works

• Tap a bank card or phone wallet to unlock the door.
• Grab whatever you want from the shelf.
• Go by closing the door. You are charged for exactly what left the shelf, with a receipt available on screen.

What's inside

Over 100 products across four categories, and we customise the mix to suit each site. Real meals are the key differentiator: My Muscle Chef ready meals, curries, noodle meals, sandwiches and yoghurt, alongside drinks, energy bars and everyday snacks.

What it costs the host

Nothing. There is no purchase price, no rental, no service charge and no lock-in contract. Shelf prices are benchmarked against convenience store pricing.

Offices, warehouses, factories, recreation and leisure centres, gyms, healthcare facilities, education campuses, community and council facilities, apartment buildings and hotels. Around 70 or more people on site on a typical day, with nothing convenient to eat or drink close by, is a strong fit.
